Global Footwear & Apparel Traceability Summit

Portland, Oregon

The Dynamic Sustainability Lab recently co-hosted the inaugural Global Footwear & Apparel Traceability Summit in Portland, Oregon with our partners at the University of Oregon. With over 125 attendees representing some of the most recognized brands around the world, Dr. Jay Golden gave the morning keynote address, and the DSL highlighted on-going transparency and traceability research by our student research teams covering forced labor, human rights, climate change and greenhouse gas reporting, biodiversity reporting as well as climate smart commodities, and recent policies on carbon labeling and circular economy.

Boston Symposium

Boston, Massachusetts

We had a wonderful time recently attending our Sustainability Symposiums in Boston! Our student researchers presented an accumulation of their hard work and research. The first session took place at the Cambridge Innovation Center for “Data Needs for Climate SMART Commodities and Carbon Credits,” “State Electricity Transitions Data and Corporate Climate Implications,” and “Climate and Energy Tracking and Data Verification: Blockchain Driven Business Models.” The second session was at Greentown Labs for “Resources for State and Local Governments” and “Electric Vehicle Transitions for Local Governments and Developers.”

Special thank you to our partners, Fidelity Center for Applied Technology, InnSure, NECEC, and KPMG!
